No grace period for H1s.. If you find a new employer who is willing to transfer before Nov 16th, you are good.


If not switch to full time F1 from Spring semister...make sure you sevis reflects this..keep searching for jobs and if you find a new employer ask them to apply for a H1 first. You can start working with them only after the H1 gets approved. Good thing is that you don't need the quota to be open since you were already on H1.
