'Telangana without Hyderabad is okay'

The people of Seemandhra won’t mind granting separate statehood for Telangana, provided Hyderabad is separated.

This was stated by Congress MP from Guntur Rayapati Sambasiva Rao. “Telangana state formation without Hyderabad is acceptable to the people of Seemandhra. The sentiments of Seemanndhra are linked to Hyderabad alone, not the rest of Telangana,” he said.

The MP said if the Telangana leaders thought they would achieve separate state by creating constitutional crisis, they were mistaken. “It will only complicate the matter further. If the government falls, there will be President’s rule in the state and it will delay the Telangana state by another 10 years. The more trouble they create, the more delay it would be in securing separate Telangana,” he said.
