[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4]Strange as it might sound, there is a talk going on among the people of Srikakulam district that former union minister and ex-TDP parliamentary party leader K Yerran Naidu would not have died in the tragic car accident in the early hours of Friday, had former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy been alive.[/size][/font][/color]
[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4]According to eye-witness accounts, Yerran Naidu had to struggle for nearly one hour before he was shifted to hospital where he breathed his last in the early hours.[/size][/font][/color]
[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4]“I have made as many as 11 calls to 108 Rajiv Arogyasri ambulance service, but there was none to respond to the calls. We tried to stop a few vehicles as Yerran Naidu was battling for his life, but they were too small to carry his body. The ambulance finally arrived after more than 40 minutes, but it was too late. What is worse, the ambulance had no oxygen or ventilator facility,” an eye-witness told the media.[/size][/font][/color]
[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4]The doctors at the hospital said had Yerran Naidu been brought within 10-15 minutes, he would have survived with ventilator support.[/size][/font][/color]
[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4]“It was too late by the time he was brought here. We tried our best to resuscitate him, but could not save him,” the doctors said.[/size][/font][/color]
[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4]Some of the eye-witnesses blame it on the lack of response from 108 ambulance service.[/size][/font][/color]
[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4]“The ambulance services got paralysed after the death of YSR as the government paid little attention to it. Had YSR been alive, he would have ensured that the services run excellently. And Yerran Naidu would have got timely medical assistance. But since YSR is dead, such accidental deaths continue to occur,” a local villager commented before the media.[/size][/font][/color]

pitty that he is also using this news to that..... may there is truth in that.... but this is not something new..... he never mentioned anything on the 108 services in the past......

Arogyasri is nothing but a Health Insurance scheme.The Gov't is paying the insurance premium on behalf of the beneficiaries ,around Rs. 3000 Crores every year ! Now the govt has included every disease starting from a simple fever to cancer treatment and thus neglecting Gov't health system and benefiting private hospitals and Insurance companies.By investing the same 3000 cores Gov't should have improved facilities the existing hospitals or upgraded them and only certain life threatening cases/diseases would have been covered under arogyasri !!
