[b]Process of buying:[/b] You buy the gold now with the current Live price and he will ask you to enter credit card details to lock the price for you. After you check out within 1-2 days you can pay by: 1. Either personal check (that needs clearance of atleast 5-10 business days) 2. you can pay with the same credit card (but price will be 20-30 $ more) 3. you can initiate wire transfer (Banks charge you 25-45 dollars for that) If you can wait it's better Personal check [b]Types: Bars vs Coins vs Pool[/b] Coins : You can buy coins from various Mint's (Canadian Royal Mint- Canadian Gold Maple Leaf, Perth Mint- Kangaroo, Panda etc). Generally the coins are expensive than Bars as the making of coins is laborious. Usually coins price will be over 50 to75$ over live price.general sizes of coins are 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/5 oz [b]Note: Some mints have different weight tough they say 1 oz because the purity might be low so to make up for the purity they increase weight[/b] Bars: You can buy bars of various sizes(1 oz, 5 oz, 10 oz, 100 grams) and the prices of bars usually be 20 - 30$ over live price. Pool Account: This cheaper but the gold is not physical. You buy a share of the big pool of virtual gold same as the live price. This is usually for investors. You can always ask for the physical gold but they have some calculations and will give you deducting some money other wise you can just sell off and get money. [b]Weight and purity:[/b] [b]Generally in US gold is measured as troy ounce which is [/b][b]31.1034768 grams. I have some doubts about taking gold to India because mana vallu rules kante lancham meedha yekkuva depend avutharu kadha
