The Congress party deserves to be banned both in the state and the centre for neglecting the common man and running after multinational companies, says the Telugu Desam Party.
Speaking to media, TDP spokesman A Revanth Reddy called upon the people to ban the Congress party.
“At a time when the people are suffering from rising prices of essential commodities including cooking gas and facing severe hardship due to power failures and lack of employment, the Congress party leaders are shamelessly defending allowing foreign direct investments (FDIs) in retail sector. The party’s so-called youth icon Rahul Gandhi has virtually turned into a brand ambassador for Wal-Mart,” Revanth said.
The TDP leader said the Congress leadership had encouraged large scale corruption at high places taking advantage of the economic liberalisation.
“The party leaders have not come out with any action plan to check corruption. While Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi talked about Aam Admi (common man), they could not mention even a single programme for the benefit of the common people,” he criticised
