all states should have election on the same day that is Nov 6th.... 270 electoral votes are required to be the President...(total 538 votes in all the states)

The electoral votes depend on the how big the state is... I mean depends on the number of districts in a state....for example CA which is a very big state have 55 electoral votes where Arkansas has only 6 votes.... so Presidential candidates concentrate on big states like CA and Texas to win more votes....
