She has been appointed as the president of the National Delphi Council by the International Delphic Council, a voluntary organisation formed in 1994 for reviving the Delphi games of ancient Greece linking arts and cultures. Announcing her selection to the post, IDC secretary general J. Christian Kirsch said Delphic games, organised along with the Olympics in ancient Greece, provided worldwide stage for encounter of arts and cultures. IDC revived the ancient practice in 1994, coinciding with the completion of 100 years of restart of the Olympic games, to guide exceptional artists through the six Delphic art categories. The art categories are acoustic, performing, lingual, visual, social and ecological arts. The IDC was striving to educate youngsters about the origins and values of the past to mentally tune them to adopt care and share attitude to ensure that future was liveable. There were 20 participating nations in addition to India and Delphi were including the ones in junior category were being organised on a regular basis. Asked about the selection of Ms. Kavita, he said he was convinced about the Telangana Jagruti president’s care for culture and art and hence, her selection.
