Adenti Bhayya...t is a part of X kada....ala mari -70 ante... :3D_Smiles:

Deeni konchem expand chesthe...

(X-t)^2 _+t^2 +2 (X-t) t + Y^2 = (Sqrt of x2+ y2)2

X^2 _+ t^2 -2Xt + t^2 + 2Xt - 2t^2 + y^2 = (Sqrt of x2+ y2)2

X^2 _+ Y^2 = (Sqrt of x2+ y2)2

t asalu akada discard aipotundhi kada....

Ala chesthe anthe avthadi... Bcoz t is a part of x

Values teesukoni cheyali anukunta... If u know the values of xand y

Similar triangles condition cheppa I .. yaa these are not similar.

Aa chinna triangle ni kindaki tippitho right angle triangle aithe

(t2 + y2)2 + (x2 + y2)2 = (x + t)2
Triangle X-Y makes a right angle

and Triangle T-Y should also be a right angled triangle.

ala aithe for example,

(70,5) anukundaam X and Y coordinates

70/Square root ( 70^2 _+ 5^2_) = t/ Square Root ( t^2 + 5^2)

70/ Square Root ( 4925) = t/ Square Root ( t^2 + 5^2)

4900/4925 = t^2/(t^2 + 25) -- Squaring both sides

4925/4900 = 1 + 25/t^2 (Inverting both sides and dividing)

25/4900 = 25/t^2

t = 70

ani vastundhi akda ala aithe.. even though if we have X > t??

Was I doing something wrong?

ee formula ee situation ki workout avaddu emo sSc_hidingsofa

For example, x=4, y=3, t=1 teesukunte, ee formula will not hold true

No boss you cant find t. Because it just a myth that x can help you in finding t. xy is one triangle and ty is another. Just y is common and both are right angled. There is no link with x in any case

Idhi ee case lo use chese formula?

t can be anything between (O,X]

i guess u understand why i used a Square bracket for X and not for Zero...

y is same on same sides so equate Y on both triangle .. u can fnd t in trems of x

Yeah..

But, can we use the common Y to come with a decent formula for t?

Angles we can find.. for XY triangle.

Nenu adhe try chestunna bhayya... I need t in terms of X ,Y ..

Detailed ga cheppalen kaani, find angle sin[s]0[/s] between y and sqrt y[sup]2[/sup]+t[sup]2[/sup] in terms of t and y.....

U can actually create a formula for t in terms of y.... x kuda avasaram ledu...

X will just be used to limit the above angle to tan(x/y)

In this case angle(x) + angle(t) = 90 aithe

from what i see it is not possible..

consider this:

take a simple right angle trianglr 3,4,5

say y is 4

now...t can be 1 or t can be 2 (as there is no angle specified)

if t is 1 the hypotneuse of the inner trianlge will be root 17

if t is 2 hyp of inner triangle will be root 20

you cant say which is right as no anglw is given

since you got many replies and looks like its no straight..so I would try with the area concept...just check if this gives some reasonable relation of t in terms of x and y
area of triangle = area of inside two triangles.

1/2 * x * y = 1/2 * t* y + (find the area of the other triangle 1 / 2 * sqrt(x^2 + y ^2) * height)

check if this works

Bhayya I think this should work.

I will check and get back to you.

Thanks :)
