aayane unte, tella cheeer aenduku ani... unte, ee festivals anni enduku mari?
We ought to know what we are doing? and why we are doing it? The real significance behind our festivals... other than buying new cloths and eating festival-food.

Ugaadi Pachadi - we know why we do that..
Kites on pongal - we know why we do that..
Crackers on Diwali - 'll find out..

Edyna, lyt anukunte lyt. teluskundam anukunte, teluskovachu.. I strongly believe that there is great explanation behind every ritual we do. And I want to know it.

Just now I got a new n strange ans:

Mr. Narakaasura never allowed his people to light lamps during his era. So, people were frustrated; as soon as he died, people celebrated his death by lighting lamps all over kingdom. Hence, as time passes, these lighting lamps tradition has transformed to blowing crackers.

it makes sense ba.. but, I think most people believe that we started celebrating Diwali since Narakasur's termination.
Lighting oil lamps is different than blowing crackers.. ryt?

I dont think so..Mr. Ram coming from exile to ayodhya was the beginning anukuntunna..bcoz ram was in tretha yuga and krishna was in dwapara yuga..and dwapara yuga came after threta yuga (as far as my knowledge)..may be I am wrong..Its my way of taking it

Consider it in this way..Lighting lamps started from ram's time and burning cracker's from krishna's time (narakasuras death).. @3$% @3$%

P S. Naaku ee festival ante chaala istam..missing it very badly :3D_Smiles_216:

Seasonal ga Diwali comes during winter so darkness prevails
this might be the reason to celebrate Diwali with lights and crackers
To overcome the darkness n journey towards light(enlightenment)
