In the process of asking a question on Stackoverflow.. I ask myself this question "What have you tried ?". If I can't get things done in a framework(which does heavy lifting) I try to do it in low level API(Usually C).

Programming guides chaduvuthanu if I don't know a concept.

I strictly donot recommend or read tutorials(or blogs that write tutorials).

Good thing to refer language documentation .. even i have java complete reference at my desk .. but we can not always go through concepts. sometimes we may need quick solutions for errors or optimal solutions of existing solutions.
Then i think we can seek help from forums or other internet resources ..
