system testing means testing the application end to end , its kind of last test in testing phase(before regression). Poori post will give u idea.
but you can always ask your manager, if they temple they follow, ask very diplomatically (If it is first time in the that company, you can, can I have a look at test plan template or is there any standards we follow here for creating test plan etc with ur own words)
