[*]Work with business and IT teams to define required updates to existing Oracle and SQL data models.
[*]Build and test required logical and physical data models and ETL jobs.
[*]Optimize existing monthly data load that is insufficient for need for loading daily data (highly manual). The existing process uses SQL 2000 (compatible in 2005) DTS packages and stored procedures along with an application written in VB6. This monthly process is manually run, and this is where it falls short of being usable for a daily load.
[*]Client is investigating Informatica as an ETL tool, however SSIS remains an option.
[*]Ability to propose good data modeling (Oracle/SQL) and ETL solution then implement the adjustments to DW tables and automating the pick-up of the daily files from FTP servers.
[*]Keeping all of this in scope with our needs to report off of this data in BOBJ BI 4.0 using current AD groups mapped to the specific row level data in the database.
