A boy celebrating his birthday on Wednesday will do so at the exact moment millions of symmetrically-inclined people will mark another unusual date-and-time alignment.

Kiam Moriya, of Birmingham, Ala., was born in Bronxville, N.Y., on Dec. 12, 2000, at 12:12 p.m., meaning he will turn 12 at 12:12 on 12/12/12.

"When I'm turning 12, it's going to be nothing but 12s," Kiam told AL.com.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 4 million babies were born in the U.S. in 2000. "Although the number of babies born daily would vary," AL.com noted, "the average would have been about 11,000 per day. Spread throughout the 1,440-minute day, that would be about eight babies in a given minute."
