Lawrence directed [/size][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Arial][size=3][b][i]Rebel[/i][/b][/size][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Arial][size=3] starring Prabhas and Tamannah in the lead roles for the producers but he crossed the budget limit by about Rs 15 Crores. So they approached the Producer's Council and demanded a refund from the director. They filed the complaint much before the release of the movie in September this year.[/size][/font][/color]

[color=#000000][font=Arial][size=3]According the producers, Lawrence agreed to finish the film within the budget of Rs 22.5 Crores before the movie's shooting commenced. But by the time, the movie ended its shoot, about Rs 35 Crores had already been spent, they stated. So they demanded the excess amount spent from Lawrence. After discussing the issue, the Council now ordered Lawrence to pay a nominal amount - 10 % of the agreed budget of Rs 22.5 Crores. That means, he has to give the producers Rs 2.5 Crores.[/size][/font][/color]

[color=#000000][font=Arial][size=3][i]Rebel[/i][/size][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Arial][size=3] that was released in September was a flop at box-office. This is the first time that a director is penalized for shooting the movie beyond the budget limit. [/size][/font][/color]

[color=#000000][font=Arial][size=3]As per our sources, Lawrence clearly signed in agreement papers that he'd not shoot beyond the budget of Rs 22.5 Crores. If he fails to pay the amount, he would be banned from making films in Telugu.[/size][/font][/color][/center]
