My employer filed I140 as well to me later in July 2012 and was already approved in sep 2012. Waiting for date to be current in EB2. Ofcourse it would take long time atleast couple years. But its better to complete these stages as earlier as possible, the earlier we start the earlier we can get. It was not at an issue for getting H1. You can file GC even during masters as well if you have atleast an year experience under EB3 category then after you completing Masters employer can port/upgrade you to EB2. I talked to couple attorneys and few seniors who filed GC on OPT and got stamped H1 as well.

We can do with no issue but need to be a bit careful about who was filing your GC and who was filing your H1. GC will have labor certification called PERM and H1 will have labor certification called LCA.
so, your employer should be careful while filing labor and the wages he was showing in each of it. Queries padathayi antunaru gani evariki emani query padutundo teliyadu. If we think in general what will ask in RFE query related to H1..I think many are misleading just by using famous word Query but there is absolute no chance for query in H1 if you are already in US or after you were in H1 stamping but some concerns are there during travel as an CBP officer has right at port of entry to raise few concerns on your immigration intent after you filed I485 on F1 if u leave the country without taking Advance Parole document. But if you think in general on OPT(F1) we can never reach I485 stage which will take 31/2 -4 yrs. so, we should complete for labor and I140 on OPT and move to H1 later then can wait for date to current to file I485.
