Etl Code Migration Steps In Bods

ETL code migration .. There are multiple ways to migrate your code. I am writing one of those.

[color=#0000ff]Steps :
1.Make sure that all the tables(that are included in job) are existing are created in Production sql server database.
2.Make sure that all the datastores(involved in job) has Production configuration.
3.Go to local object library , right click on job that you want to migrate and client on EXPORT.
4.New window comes up.
5.Right click on job and click on export.
6.New window comes up .
7.Click on export to file.
8.Choose windows location to save file
9.Now choose the filename(Any file name).
10.Now all the metatdata is exported to the file with extension .ATL
11.now login in to production Business objects data services designer and click on tools -> Import from file.
12. Choose file that you have just exported and import it.
13. It may take seconds to hours.Depends on how big is your file.
14. Booom .. Your job is now in production.
15. Go to the substitution parameters
16.Make sure that all the datstores are pointed to production configuration.
17.Before running a job or before scheduling a job, Please make sure that substitution parameters are choosen correctly.[/color]
