ShravanthiThirunagari Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 "What is going on in our country? Where is this country going? What is the future of our country? Why is so much of corruption all around in the country? Nobody can change this country, huh.. by the way what is the cricket score? Did Sachin score his 100th ton?" Generally most of us carry a gold fish memory when it comes to politics and state affairs. We get so agitated and furious when we hear about the corrupt system and very quickly move on to a topic that has the power to entertain us a bit longer and gradually forget till we read or witness something again about our system and politics. There are so many questions that go unanswered, even when we know that we have the ability to make that little difference by pushing a little harder, but we won't. Being a little fair to us, 'politics' is an area that has a mean demeanor from outside and nobody wants to get his or her hands dirty. Having said that there will always be exceptions and these exceptions are the ones who strongly think they can bring a difference that everybody only talk about. To take the first step towards the dream of a better society itself is a small achievement. The people who are ready to think out of the box and beyond their own personal benefits are laudable. Just to talk about brining in change wouldn't do any good, there should be a proper channel to bring out the best and navigate our thoughts. In a scenario where currently everything around in politics seems suspicious and not motivating, there is a hope in Lok Satta Party spearheaded by Sri.Jaya Prakash Narayana. There is nothing new to talk about JP sir; he is an open book as always. His ideals and thoughts have motivated so many and became a guiding force for some who seriously wants to get into politics for the benefit of the society. Mr.Jaya Prakasha Narayan's ideology and thought process not only influenced around him in India but also helped LSP to spread its wings global. There have been many incidents in the recent past where the NRI's who are well settled and have very least to worry about when it comes to having a comfortable life have come forward and shown interest in active politics. It takes some courage and to believe in the belief that they can bring some difference with their initial step towards a better society. These friends of us who are planning to pursue politics fulltime from LSP are not chasing power but are soldiers of JP sir who are on a mission to make that ideal world possible. PFL, People for Loksatta is a group based in the US who share Mr.JP's ideology and basically originated for the same reason. This group works on different activities but not limited to like fund raising, marketing, arranging party meetings are few to name. Looking at the dire situation currently the state is in and different issues cropping up everyday some serious and some totally ignited for political reasons, JP sir encouraged lot of PFL members to take active part in politics. Many of us got motivated but few among us have not only taken the words seriously but also put their first step towards executing them. Mr.Dilip Sankarreddy and Ms.Hyma are the best and exemplary examples that jumped into the ring and already trying to take the so-called political bull by horns. They are ready to fight for people with honesty and in the best interest of the society. Having followed Mr.Jaya Prakash Narayan closely and understood his thought process there is no doubt about their success. These are the people who does not mind getting their hands dirty and will be the first ones to roll their sleeves up in an effort to clean up the current dirt piled up in the state. We as a member of LSP wants to do something good for the society, but sometimes our personal commitments may not support us to do what Mr.Dilip and Ms.Hyma are into already. Having understood the limitations sometimes the life imposes if atleast we can come together to support our friends who are out there doing what we thought we should do. Let's clasp our hands together and show them our solidarity.
