Its better to discuss this with the DSO { Designated School Official } before you plan your travel outside the country.

Ikkada entha mandhi enni cheppina..DB motham lo nee lekka PhD Chesi Visa problem undetollu . 4-5 members kuda undaru..

so Try to discuss the whole issue with the International office advisor on the School or an Immigration lawyer if possible before you plan your visit.

Check if you cna apply for a Visa extension while defending your Thesis and ready to go to OPT.
