CHANAKYA Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Prema Jayakumar, the daughter of a Mumbai autorickshaw driver, has topped the All India Chartered Accountancy examination. 24-year old Prema aced the exam with a score of 607 out of 800, a solid 75.88 per cent, and attributed her success to support from her parents and teachers. She also said that studying in a 300 sq-ft room in a chawl might have been a bit stifling, but it never proved a deterrent. "The former president of the CA Institute called me and said I'd topped the exam. I cried so much out of joy. I've never been happier. My father, mother & brother have encouraged me a lot.
