If you have GC or EAD, Citizen immigration status you can work on 1099 by creating your own firm...which you can save some dollars in TAX...like you can claim GAS , Food, Books, Internet, Purchases related to Storage media, computer equipment.. etc.. and if you drive to work on 1099 you can claim 0.55 cents per each mile...if you have own firm and on 1099 contract you can save some on car payments as well by purchasing that car under ur firm... If you are too greedy in saving tax dollars on 1099... IRS will kick u hard....
