I actually didn't get your situation. but i assume that you are an YEF1 student on HOPHITI and your YEF1 visa is valid till 2015.
Next year you will be afflying for HETCH1B visa.
In this case
Once it approved you will turn into HETCH1B status on oct 1st 2014 from HOPHITI status.
Then if you go for stamping and HETCH1B got rejected you want to come back to US on HEF1 visa right?
In this case you can't do if they reject your HETCH1B at stamping then they will cancel your HEF1 visa also.

If it's rejected when applied at USCIS then you can continue on your HOPHITI until it expires.

Mama..husband sangathi enti athanidi kooda H1 ayyinda or OPT meeda unnada. Anyway i take as below.

Husband:

Post OPT meeda unnadu,
NO H1b and ee year opt exp avutundi.

Wife: F2 dependent visa turned into H1B last year oct 2012.

if she goes to stamping and get rejected she can come back on her F2 visa and stay with her husband as long as he is in status(OPT).
It Will not be a problem if he doesn't cancel her F2 visa.
When he rejects H1b, he should tell her before cancelling her F2 visa also. Normally they give back her passport and she can come back to USA as a dependent to her husband but she can't work on her H1b.
