Bangalore Court Summons Akabaruddin Owaisi

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Bangalore city has issued summons to Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi based on a private complaint that his recent alleged hate speech at Nirmal in Andhra Pradesh had disturbed communal harmony.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
Rajashekar V. Patil, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, in his Wednesday’s order directed Mr. Owaisi to appear before the court on February 23.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
The court said the summons should be issued to Mr. Owaisi through the Director-General of Police, Andhra Pradesh. The summons was issued after admitting the complaints, filed two weeks ago by city-based advocates Dilip and Dharmapal.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
The complainants have produced the compact discs in which they had recorded Mr. Owaisi’s speech webcast through [i]YouTube[/i]. Mr. Owaisi was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police on January 8.[/font][/color]
