Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao seems to have decided to dump the Congress party lock, stock and barrel and shift his loyalties to the National Democratic Alliance led by Bharatiya Janata Party.

It was evident from his speech at Samara Deeksha held at Indira Park on Monday. For the first time, the TRS president made a direct attack on Congress party president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. 

“For the last nine years, Sonia Gandhi has been torturing the people of Telangana. She has been keeping silent even when hundreds of students committed suicide for separate state. And the Prime Minister has little concern for Telangana. He does not have knowledge even that of a Chaprasi in Parliament,” KCR said.

On the other hand, the TRS president asserted that if the UPA does not deliver Telangana, the NDA was ready to give it once it comes to power. It clearly shows KCR has made up his mind to cut off ties with the Congress and is looking towards supporting the NDA.
