I am just trying to correct the lies that are part of propoganda that
Potti Sri Ramulu died for Andhra Pradesh.

Whereas he was forced to sacrifice his life for Madras city and that too in vain.

PM Jawaharlal Nehru accepted Andhra State formation from Madras Presidency and requsted
Potti Sri Ramulu to giveup fast. But as you can see Andhra agitators wanted him to continue
fast in order to get hold of Madras city too.

Its called 'Madras Manade' movement.

Madras, at that time was an indivisible mixture of Tamil and Telugu cultures.[sup][url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andhra_State#cite_note-1"][1][/url][/sup] It was difficult to determine who should possess it. [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panagal_Raja"]Panagal Raja[/url], Chief Minister of the Madras Presidency in the early 1920s said that the [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooum_River"]Cooum River[/url] should be kept as a boundary, giving the northern portion to the Andhras and the southern portion to the Tamils. In 1928, [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_C._Sankaran_Nair"]Sir C. Sankaran Nair[/url] sent a report to the Central Council discussing why Madras does not belong to the Tamils. Historically and geographically it was a part of the Andhra region. It was Damerla Ventakadri Nayakudu was provincial governor in 1639 from whom the English sought to take permission to set up a factory. The increasing political dominance of the Tamils from early 1920s at both Central and State level politics caused Madras to remain in the Tamil region. Chennai kaadu original ga

Chenna patnam

It was formed by telugu king who name is some thing like chenna and some naidu or some thing else

He was given the this place and build the city by muslim ruler..


before that there is no city or town called chennai some 400 to 500 yrs back

just like HYD which was build by moghual when golkonda was hit by dengue
