Lease Vs Buying

i'm planning to buy a car for my wife. It will be her first car, i have two choices either to buy a car which is cheap around 3k or lease for 1 year until she is perfect and later buy a good one.

need some suggestions on either buying a car around 3k or leasing a new car for 1 year....

kindly advice.
