[size=5]The decision by YSR Congress party leader Y S Sharmila, sister of party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, to resume her “Maro Praja Prasthanam” padayatra from Turka Yamzal village in Ranga Reddy district from Wednesday, is creating flutters in its political rivals, particularly the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.[/size]

[size=5]Sharmila had discontinued her padayatra on December 15, after she received injury to her left knee at B N Reddy Nagar Cross Roads the previous day. Since then, much water has flown under the Telangana bridge – union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde held an all-party meeting on Telangana issue on December 28, that reignited the fire in the region; the Centre almost took a decision in favour of Telangana and was about to announce the same before January 28, but deferred it indefinitely under pressure from Seemandhra leaders. The TRS got rejuvenated and it managed to stop exodus of Telangana leaders into the YSR Congress.[/size]

[size=5]Now, with Sharmila back on the roads, the opposition parties, particularly the TRS, are worried as they fear the YSR Congress would regain its strength in the region. That is why they have started attacking Sharmila and her party. While the Bharatiya Janata Party chose the timing to make allegations on illegal investments of Sharmila and her husband Anil Kumar, the Telugu Desam Party, through its trumpet Andhra Jyothy, “exposed” the alleged forgery of signatures in the signature campaign for Jagan.[/size]
[size=5]And on Tuesday, TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao’s daughter Kavitha expressed doubts over the genuineness of the injury caused to Sharmila’s knee.[/size]
[size=5]“I doubt if Sharmila really underwent surgery. If it is true, the YSR Congress party leaders should disclose the medical reports,” Kavitha demanded.[/size]
