[/quote] man mohan yeppudu chesina reforms after pm?? please refer the link ....(http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/commandingheights/shared/pdf/int_manmohansingh.pdf) it will clearly show which nations followed which path and how every nation advanced by implementing the reforms.. competition is the key to drove the prices down .. previously government used to own almost everything.... only doordarshan channel, maruti car, ongc(50-50).... do you see the amount and number of people got employed because of the new channels, manufacturing plants, retail stores..... I think they need to make sure they pay their workers appropriately and impose minimum wages but in a country which had vast human power you will always find someone who will work for buck lesser than you... regarding tomatoes they need to implement stricters laws where the middle vendors don't create artificial scarcity or surplusness... it is not a side effect of economic reform. We got government off the backs of the people of India, particularly off the backs of India's entrepreneurs. We introduced more competition, both internal competition and external competition.
