I'm working for a desi company and my h1b filed/approved till 2013 and can be extended for another 1 year. Is there a way that i can change my job to any other company this year? I am asking this as I'm thinking of trying out for the first time in any other company. Also how to approach the employers in case if I want to move out for a new job. Also is there a way to get started with GC filing with any employer? I've a total of 7+ genuine exp and 5+ in US. Kindly help me with your suggestions.

5+ US Exp undi.. employer change antey.. make sure.. ur GC processing starts immediately.. u don't have much time either you move out to a new job . new company or stay with the old company..

meeku chala urgent gaa GC filing cheyyali if u wnat to continue in this country after an year..

If mee old employer kaani already start chesi.. some I-143 or something edho approval vachesi untey.. u can stay in this country for more than 6 yrs on H1 B..

kaani meeku evaru file cheyyakunda ,. ippudu start chesthet... a comapny ithey meeku aa I -1** edho approval teesuku vastado valal daggariki vellali..

coming to the actual question.. you cna always change to a new employer.. given that ur new employer is able to file for a transfer of your current visa .. without telling ur old employer and without asking for

No Objection Certificate from your old employer..

But asalu mee 5 + exp lo.. meeru Full Time or a Contractor to some big client ??

Thanks for your reply PMR. Actually naku 2014 end maxout for h1. so, my doubt is that, job change safe e naa or better to stick to the same employer. I've been with 4or 5 major clients so far here. so, confused to stay or to try outside.

Talk to u r current employer clearly and ask if they can start ur GC processing immediately..

If you are working for someone like. - Satyam - Tech mahindra.. Infosys.. or some guys like that..
its time to start looking out with someone who you can trust for filing a GC immediately..

Frankly saying.. ipppudu meeku chala takkuva time und.. inka meeru file cheisna kani.. enni days.. lo aa approval edho untudhi level 1.. vastundo teludhu..

so if u plan to stay longer in this country.. make your move carefully.. and also try to keep a backup option.

one of my relatives had a similar situation.. so his wife started a H1 B this year.. if in case he is out of 6 yr period. with no GC.. Status.. or no approval of I-....

he will change to H4 status and will stay away from work for sometime..

so Please plan carefully and talk to immigration lawyer { someone you know or friends known personally and you can trust } about your options.. may be they can explain clearly..
