the discussion is always gonna be around my wife;s family and relatives and its gonna be a lot of headache.. Do I need to give that to my parents for bringing me up so hard by saving all their lifetime earnings

And is that something I need to give them after growing up for 24+ years on their hard earned money..


In my view I don;t agree that you need to support an inter-caste marriage.. you liked her.. you marry her.. But don;t ask your parents to support it.
If they want to face all the consequences for the rest of their life to make you happy,.. they will accept it..


If they don;t want to accept.. they were not obligated to accept your marriage..




I had a colleague in my circle.. Same story... 20 yrs.. Own Family.. well Respected.. Big Brahmin traditional..

He loved someone in another higher caste.. but not Brahmin.. His Dad clearly said that.. I don't want you to go with here .. Because..

I can;t attend any other function in future and I am not sure If I can find a Proper family for your sister..




He still left the family for the girl and they were living in US now.. Deal done.. no more talkigns with the Family..

Whenever we get into some kind of conversations related to the family.. or I need to be on phone with my MOM & DAD.. I don;t feel so easy ..
while he is next to me so that he may feel he is missing his own Parents..


so its like for one person you choose to loose a bunch of people..
