Well, frankly speaking I don't have much knowledge on it as I have started working a liitle while ago..

Kani in a nutshell..Hadoop is a distributed file system (built on JAVA) which is optimized to handle massive amounts of data through parallellism(map-reduce jobs). As data increased massively over the years, RDMS can't really handle such huge data sets. So, we are making use of Hadoop..

You can google it for more info...RDBMS will start fading eventually..Future motham Hadoop ee inka. Oka 6 months experience unna, you can get into top notch companies with a six figure salary..

RDBMS will fade aaa...RDBMS has been there for decades and stays forever. Bigdata audience are different.Google developed its own data storage and processing called big table using Map reduce techinques for processing and HDFS.. Amazon, facebook, twitter has its own thing based on the same Map reduce technique. Its a NoSQL world..okasaari bigdata gurinchi poorthigaa chadivi comment chey

AS data increase massively over the time RDBMS cannot handle annav kada, daani kosam data warehouse, data mining techniques unnay, they can 100's of years of data. Map reduce addresses to process huge online data in no time

Nuvve answer chesaka..malli nen chesedi em undi..

Totally agree with you kani there have been so many discussions on this whether Hadoop is really a threat to RDBMS ani..While some agree on this, some might not..I am totally a newbie to this and I really don wanna comment at this point of time. I have told what I have heard anthe..dantlo authenticity entha undi lenidi anedi future decide chesthadi..

I definitely don't want to underplay RDBMS. Nen enduku annanu ante.. Currently, Hadoop is dealing with BIG DATA (petabyte,..). What would be the situation if it steps in normal data market? Definitely, appudu threat ee kada RDBMS ki. But I still support using RDBMS as it has so many advantages when compared to Hadoop as Hadoop deals only with batch processing and updates/writing would be a possible nightmare..!!

Ippudu oche kotha clients anni Hadoop midane rely avthayi ani antunnaru not just because it process huge data in no time but it is very cheap when compared to traditional way of processing through ETL/BI solutions..It would be really expensive(hardware/tools/licenses) to process Terabyte's of data which would definitely help clients to take up Hadoop in the near future.

Hadoop isn't really a database ..Both are different concepts..Okay let me put it this way..

In a database, the data is stored in the form of tables whereas in Hadoop(framework written in Java), the data is stored in the a distributed file system..

Go through the following links..They might be helpful for a quick understanding about Hadoop.

oh ok ..
Thank you :)

Will go through the links
