Mahant Yugal Kishor Shashtri had seen saffron terror from close quarters when he was a member of VHP for several years. When Shastri came to know what was the real face of this organization, which was engaged in spreading venom against Muslims and conspirating to divide the country on the pretext of Ram Janam Bhomi movement, he cut off his relations with VHP. When the defense layer tried and insisted on Shastri, who has been working to establish mutual brotherhood, solidarity and integrity of the country and survival of humanity, to say that the demolition of Babri Masjid was the handiwork of some Muslim terrorists and not of VHP people, and that some terrorists stayed at Shastri’s ashram, Yugal Kishor retorted that not a single dubious person had ever stayed at his ashram, but of course some representatives of the Central government had stayed there.
