I don't fell anything to be shamed of. I am from Vijayawada, but brought up in diff places that i ended up my studies in 12 different schools/college.

: which proves that CBN(STATE GOVT @ THAT TIME)had vision that IT sector will be the future and turn to be a major revenue source for the state.

= Govt of AP (CBN's) identified the importance of engg colleges by 1995.
=later followed by HR -1997
=GJ,MP,TN,UP - 2000
=KA,KL,OA-2001
=PN,WB - 2002
=RJ-2003
=DL,MH-CONSTANT GROWTH

AICTE is will allot and no need of CM'S recommendation, but the govt has encouraged the investors in state to go for the colleges.


=AP have only 6.41 % of total intake capacity by the year -1994..it rose to 18.59% by 2003.(major contributor in country by 2003)
=KA have 22.08% and dropped down to 10.99 from 1994 to 2003
=as u said UP dont have 1000+ engg colleges 3.78% to 6.8 % from 1994 to 2003

So the govt during that time (CBN's Govt) had a vision of making IT a major revenue.
