santhusen8 Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 I just applied ITIN for my wife, its quite simple you need to have your federal tax forms filled with W2 form along with ITIN application , and than take your wife to the nearest IRS office and give the application as well as passport , he will make copies of passport and give passport back , he will also give copies of your applications with received stamp . It took my wife almost 4 to 5 hrs to do the work in chicago , its just like going to govt office in INDIA where work gets delayed , i took off on friday afternoon , but they had a long list of people waiting and ;my wife had to go on monday again early in the morning at 7.30 and the office opens at 8.30 , should wait in the line but it sill took 5 hrs .
