jaffanajeffada Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 Informatica folks, CLOB datatype unna table nunchi data read chestunte RR_4035 Fetch Failed error vastondhi... here is what I have done! 1. XML to Oracle table A (which has CLOB datatype) loaded perfectly fine 2. While Reading data from Table A Informatica session is failing

Imported a source object as is from database
In source qualifier and rest of transformations changed the datatype of the CLOB port to text.
Changed the data length of the text field to greater than the actual length of that column in the database
any input is highly appreciated... Online lo chaala discussion posts choosa gaani, nothing is useful/working

Change the DTM Buffer Block to AUTO.[/background][background=rgb(238, 244, 249)] 2. Execute the query select max(length(column_which_is_clob)) from table in your database. This will give you the size of max value for clob column and provide a higher value than the return number for the "Port Precision" in the Source Qualifier and the connected Tranformations in the pipeline.[/background]

jaffanajeffada Posted April 1, 2013 Author Report Posted April 1, 2013 found the solution... the precision of the CLOB port needs to be increased to atleast 3 times of the Max length it can have... by changing to this my problem is resolved

Requirement : ORACLE CLOB -----> ORACLE CLOB Direct Load. But naaku session fail avuthuvundi....because Integration Service unable to pull the data from table. (Because of CLOB) nenu chala portals and online lo try chesa...but I couldn't find any solution to resolve my issue. So, ippudu table ni Infa loki import chesukunnaka CLOB ki 4000 Precision in Source definition and am making 16000 Text in all the transformations including SQ....but session still failing.....could u pls give me any input? In my case, am doing 16000 Text..as u said make it 3 times. Thanks for ur help. MK MASTAN.
sandeep538 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 just change the data type for source as clob and give the precision as 25000 try that it should work
Mutton Kottu Masthan Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013
just change the data type for source as clob and give the precision as 25000 try that it should work
Thank you Sandeep bhai....It is working now.....Thank u very much for ur help n time.
this is what needs to be done Masthan bhai Check the max length of data for that CLOB column in database... if you get 5000 as the length, In Source and target Object set it to CLOB 15000 or more(atleast 3 times) from Source qualifier onwards, set it to TEXT 15000
