this is what happened to me when i went to india this jan..and i am listening this stories from every one..andharu 1800-1900 isthunte BA vodu 1440 ki isthunnadu miku appude ravali doubt...this is the email i sent to BA customer care


I am contacting you, to complain about the horrible trip I have ever had in any airlines before in my entire life. This is my first trip to India through British airways which ended with a horrible experience.
I booked my flight on BA.com to travel Hyderabad from Los Angeles via London on Jan 15th 2013 on BA282(Booking ref number 62VF8D). It was scheduled to leave LAX at 4.35pm but left LAX at approx.8.00pm with a 3 and half hr. delay. This made me to miss my connection flight at London to Hyderabad(BA0277) and reached London at 2.30pm. I know this is quite common for flights to get delayed and I politely reached the BA counter to get me next flight to Hyderabad. I came to know there is no other flights to Hyderabad till next day and the agent told me that they can send me to New Delhi at night and can give me a connection to Hyderabad. But the sad news is I need to wait for 8 hrs. in London Airport and wait 5 more hours in New Delhi to catch Domestic flight(Air India) to Hyderabad. I requested them to at least give me earliest flight to Hyderabad from New Delhi as they did to other customers. They said there is no seats left in the earliest flight and I need to wait for 5 hours. This is not true as i checked with Air India after reaching New Delhi and they said they can give me the earliest flight if I can pay them $100 dollars. The Britishairways agents are so rude and they don’t even have courtesy to help me. They behaved like as It is my mistake to miss the flight and I have never seen such horrible customer service in my entire life. And more than that they said that I should be happy to get a 10 pound worth voucher to buy refreshments as a compensation for waiting 14 hrs. in both the airports. So this is how my long awaited(4 years) India trip ended by losing one valuable day in my 3 weeks’ vacation.


If you think the story ended here you are mistaken. The same thing happened to me while returning back from Hyderabad. I was actually scheduled to travel back on Feb 5th from Hyderabad
but due to some health issues i postponed the return flight to Feb 17th by paying $524.00 dollars(BOOKING REF 62VF8D). BA0276 was scheduled to leave from Hyderabad at 07.15 am on 17th Feb 2013.Me and my parents came from long way driving almost
300 kilometers to Hyderabad Airport as I am not a native of Hyderabad. After boarding the flight it took 2 hrs. for pilot to taxi the flight to runway saying they are out of nitrogen. I am supposed to catch the flight( BA 269) in London to LAX at 3.00pm but our flight reached London at 3.30 p.m. i missed the flight in London again!!!. So I am forced to contact the horrible people whom I never wanted to meet --British Airways customer service at London Heathrow. Now the only option
I am left with was need to travel Chicago and stay there for whole night and travel back to Los Angeles at 6.00am next day. I told them that I need to report myself in my job otherwise I am going to lose my pay. This is actual reason for booking the flight on Sunday(IST) so that I can reach Los Angeles on Sunday(PST) evening and can go to work on Monday morning without losing my pay. But it dint happened and I lost my working hours on Monday and it’s a loss of pay.

I just wanted to ask British Airways a straight question if you guys were unable to run flights on time why don’t you cancel the services so that people like me can look for alternatives.
Just because of you guys I lost a memorable experience of seeing my parents after 4 long years. And I can list out other problems me and my family faced for missing those flights.
More than that the customer service in London Heathrow is worse and you guys employed horrible people there.

If you are so keen in charging $500.00 dollars for postponing the flight why can’t you compensate the person in the say way for struggling 40horrible long hours twice in a single trip. Do you ever thought how can a person can take it. I demand an explanation and action on BA agent who gave me connection tickets while going to Hyderabad for lying to me and made me wait for 5 hrs. in New Delhi airport.

and the main issue is BA is running flights just like red bus in andhra pardesh ...


suppose if you want to go to HYD from LONDON you have only one flight..which arrives LONDON from HYD and the same flight travels back to HYD..this is the same way htey run from US too(seattle, chicago, atlanta,phoenix, LA) i have seen people who missed that LONDON to HYD flight beacuse all the flights from US arrived late and every one missed the flight..this is not the case woth emirates..they have 4 flights to HYD in a day atleast if you miss one flight you can catch 3 other flight in the same day....and more than that they will stop ther plane to HYD if majority of the flights from US arrived Dubai late...i hope you understand what I am talking about...

thats y i paid 400 more dollors and booked emirates as I am going to india again for my marrige in MAY....even thought i have ticket from LA for just $1350
