The BBC says that the Iranian State TV has reported 40 deaths so far in the earthquake, but officials fear the toll could be in the hundreds. Our thoughts go out to those affected. It's been a sad day, starting with the blasts in Boston and now this.

Hundreds of people are feared dead after a powerful quake has shaken Iran near the border with Pakistan. The tremors were felt all across the region. It comes just a week after another large tremor hit the country.
