Michigan has nice research going in Auto field. being in houghton ( near to auto hub ,detroit) it will help to get in to that sector easily is wat i think Which is better in terms of post job opportunities. Research in Clemson is little ahead then MIchigan Tech. Less scope for funding in Clemson - More chance for funding No part Time- Almost everyone get Part Time Clemson $30000 per annum - $27000 per annum in Michigan Tech ( including living expenses , excluding funding, part time ) I am inclined towards Michigan tech . I am posting this for few points which i may have missed and broader view. Thank You

vikuba Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 Michigan has more exposure to auto places, industries ..its close to IL where CAt and johndeere companies are ther. The chance of getting into internships and jobs is more. MI,IL also have recruiters for Mech VW,Audi,GM,Ford are in MI.

vikuba Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 ikkada entha mandhi cheppina waste...mastaruu.. go to fb find the univ pages...try to find the desis who are doin mech in those univs.. msg them . if they dont respond... try to go to univ website and get indian student association president and call him/msg him for info on mech students. thts when u get the real talk of the course in tht univ. good luck
