[b]Performances:

Allu Sirish: Well it's good that he has choosen a different charcter/subject for his intro film unlike regular commercial films.Sirish did not put min efforts to impress as an actor. He carried out the same wooden face throughout the film, his diction/voice was quite good,he has a lot to improve to be a successful actor.

Others: Yami Gautam was beautiful&attractive ,though shes does'nt have much scope, she made her presence felt whenever she appered on screen. L B sriram was standard. Harish and Brahmaji were good. Prakashraj was under utilises. Others all were apt.

Technical Departments:

Story-Screenplay-Direction: Story line may sound like tried&tested one but has a intense and serious backdrop. But Radhamohan failed to write a proper screenplay to get the feel or emotion. All scenes regarding the main storyline were just handled in a touch and go manner. That's why emotional quotient was missing throughout the film,though somes scenes impress here and there.1st half starts on a promising note, some comedy scenes worked out well, most of the time was taken to establish the backdrop. Interval raises expectations but 2nd half never picks up with repetitive scenes followed one by one. Till Pre climax ,story doesn't go to the next level and so called twist was also not handled well and because of that climax became preachy and it gave a TV Serial flavour.

Other Departments: Dilaogues were okay. Camera work was good .Editing was jerky through out the movie. Songs scored thaman by were fine and BGM is really good.

My Rating: 4/10

Analysis: Gouravam- A message oriented film with documentary feel, Weak screenplay,inadequate direction and wrong choice of hero make it a boring treat.[/b]
