[size=4][font=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica][font=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica]Gouravam marks the cinematic debut of another member of the Allu clan! Producer Allu Aravind's third son, and heartthrob Allu Arjun's younger brother Allu Sirish, is making his debut as a hero through this movie, and pretty lady Yami Gautam is also debuting in Tamil!

The movie opens to Sirish arriving at a village, on some official business. When he tries to return, his flight is delayed. While he looks to kill some time, he remembers that his friend Shanmugam stays nearby, and decides on visiting him! When Sirish visits the village, and enquires about his friend, he is told that he is no longer in the village, and that he eloped with the village headman Pasupathi's (Prakashraj) daughter. When Sirish enquires where the duo eloped to, he meets with stony silence, and just a few murmured whispers of Chennai. This leaves Sirish unconvinced, and when he returns to Chennai, he talks to his friend, and the duo decide to return to the village, to trace Shanmugam's whereabouts! At the village, Sirish comes into contact with a free spirited, society-conscious girl, a lawyer trainee (Yami Gautam). Nasser plays Yami's father. As the youngsters go about enquiring about their friend in the village, they receive dire threats from different quarters.

Suspecting that something is amiss, Sirish contacts all his friends, and brings them down to the village, and all the youngsters stand up in protest, and hope the villagers reveal something about Shanmugam. Sirish comes across an autistic child, who speaks little, but expresses himself through some lovely, realistic drawings! Just as Sirish goes through some random drawings of the child, he comes across a drawing depicting a couple being killed, and graves being dug for them. Sirish and his friends dig up at a specific place, and come up with 2 skeletons. Pasupathi, his son Saravanan, and their whole family are gutted! When this case goes to court, Yami herself takes up the case, and when the hearing is in progress, a man surrenders himself to the Police, stating that he killed the duo for money and the girl's jewels! However, Sirish remembers the girl's sister-in-law telling him that she left back all her jewels before leaving home! Sirish finds that there's more than what meets the eye! He wants justice for his dead friend, and is willing to go to any lengths! But, what lengths does he really have to go? Who was actually responsible for the young couple's death? What does Pazhani (Pasupathi's right hand man) have on his mind, that is making him feel guilty? Is all as it seems to be? Watch Gouravam on the big screens to know it all!

As is his norm, director Radha Mohan has taken a neat story, and presented it in the best way possible, tugging at your heartstrings along the way! He has cast all his favourite actors in the supporting roles, and they shine brightly! [color=#b22222][b][size=5]Allu Sirish leaves you wondering if he is indeed making his acting debut! He has given a wonderful[/size][/b][/color][b] performance![/b] Yami Gautam is here to stay! She has essayed a flawless portrayal! Prakashraj is his usual, brilliant self! One does feel Nasser could have been utilised a little better! Cinematographer Preetha has done a good job, and the visuals of the countryside have been well captured! Thaman's music is good, and the 'Mannadacha Pandhu' song is haunting, and singer Gaana Bala needs a special mention for his rendering!
