Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK), a Hindu Political outfit in Taminadu, filed complaints against Kamal Haasan, Gauthami, Prakash Raj, TV Anchor Divyadarshini and a participant Priya accusing them of indescent activities on Television and for disrespecting the Indian culture. Recently, Both Kamal and Gauthami participated in Vijay TV's Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi (NVOK) game show, which is the Tamil version of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The presence of these live-in partners in a Television show might send the indication that there is nothing wrong if a man and a woman live together without tying the nuptial knot. This didn't go well with the HMK leaders. Adding fuel to fire, Kamal hugged and kissed few woman in the show. "What's the need for a star to hug and kiss in a Television show which was intended to create awareness on different issues in the society. Such acts will only increase the sexual atrocities on women. Despite knowing the fact that lakhs of people would be watching the show, these women didn't mind behaving in such manner," fumes the HMK, demanding stern action against them for disrespecting Indian culture. Notably, Kamal and Gauthami were having a live-in relationship for the past few years. May be the HMK have waited for the right time to attack and now the TV show came as a blessing in disguise.
