Watching through Harishchandrachi Factory, I prayed the film should go on for ever. A must watch for any filmmaker. An unbelievable attempt by a man, who had a vision which nobody believed or understood. When Dada Saheb Phalke made
'Raja Harishchandra' in 1913, he had to explain what a camera is, to every second person he met.

During the process of making India's first ever film,
He was taken to mental hospital by his relatives.
His crew couldn't get brides for marriage, as no one understood what job they were doing.
Whole cast got arrested on location, as police mistook them to be burglars in disguise.

In spite of countless hardships, Mr. Phalke went on to accomplish the genesis of Motion picture industry in India. More than 1000 films are made in India every year, the largest Film industry in the world.

The most hilarious and memorable dialogue for me,
When the film is made and Mr. Phalke and team are waiting to at the first screening, Nobody turns out and after a long wait, when a dog runs into the theater,

Mr. Phalke says, "At least, they can't say even a stray dog didn't show up !" :D

The dialogue has more than just humor to it. More than all, I was shocked to learn , 'Raja Harishchandra' was released on May 3rd 1913. A 100 years back on the exact day. Cudn't be a greater coincidence ! http://youtu.be/LPvvMbXLfpA
