Once you accept the fact that people have individual choices and they are free to make those choices… Free to make choices means without being influenced and I can’t understand that at all. All of us are influenced in all of our choices by the culture we live in, by our parents and by the values that dominate. So, we’re influenced- so there can’t be “free” choices. Truth_Believer Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 GP.....I used to previously think about this that 'Choice' is a very misleading word. we should have been given choices right from where and how our birth should have been and how our traits and attributes are to be defined as a human being. If things have already been planned for us to spend our life in a environment, which might not be considered "Equal" w.r.t to the rest of the humans then how can we claim that everyone is and should be "Equal" ( i mean in what sense?).When the foundation for life itself is so unequal that it always ensures that the survival of the fittest is the whole and sole criteria for us to survive then i can say there is a serious flaw in the way we see life or the way we understand it.
