PAUL, Minn. — Several dozen Minneapolis police officers have surrounded a home in south Minneapolis following a shooting. Minneapolis police say two officers were shot in the area of 27th and Bryant. There's no word on their conditions. A MPR News staffer on the scene saw a police officer on a front yard receiving medical treatment for what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the leg. The officer was taken away in an ambulance. A neighbor says she heard several gunshots that appeared to be coming from the home. The homeowner says when he returned home, police had cordoned off the block but then said the area was okay to enter. When the homeowner parked his car and walked up to his back porch, he noticed that his back door window was smashed. He then alerted police who entered the home.
