Good but dreams andariki vuntayi baa....lets disco about practical ways to do it! Agriculture is not just enough to make the profession lucrative and earn the lost respect...creating by products for public consumption, access to international exports etc....Take the case of Coconut water import for example...middlemen and farmers in Mexico/Thailand make a lot by selling the same in the west.

depends how u look @ it
If u looking for a profitable business(on the yield) then it is not

Take for example if u buy 12 Acers for 1 Cr to 1.5 Cr

you monthly yield sums up @ 60K per month. (each Ace if u cultivate u can get upt0 60K Rs)
under health conditions..

but the land rate also increasing quite effectively

so if u buy a land ina village ..with in 30 KM from Big town

Then life style will not effect much ...and u have the feeling of having ur own land..

if u r really looking for heavy monthly income then this is not right profession

agree...not thinking of making money right away but it definitely pays in the long run to invest and cultivate land putting our heartful efforts in to it...I am interested in organic farming (even costlier) but I want to hedge my investment by targeting local as well as international market to become profitable. Yes I totally agree with you that lang value keeps appreciating near the big cities/towns and I always wanted to stay closer (but not in) to an Indian city given the poor urban planning n etc.

Good...do you have any specific example in mind? For example, you can start Green house flowers section and try to sell them to big stores in cities...I know of people who bought acres n acres of land (even villages) in Kenya n few other African countries...they earn millions by growing n exporting roses and only roses!

Bunch of roses for Valentine day or for any other occassion is no less than $10 in any of the stores in U.S.

but if u invest on land now... and leave it for kavulu
then when u r all set it will be a prefect implementation.

Regarding organic

The advantage is .. By the time crop is ready to cut ...u will buyers @ ur front door..like they will cut and take away ..u need not worry at all...they pay good amt and will take the crop..
