Hailing the BJP leader's administration skills, Murthy said, " Narendra Modi is one of the finest administrators and the nation is witness to his excellence." Earlier the Infosys founder had claimed, "Modi is a good administrator. He is a very open-minded person. He has demonstrated in Gujarat that individuals can maybe make a difference. I think either of them, with suitable advisors, will really be able to bring about positive changes in the country."[/background]

Revealing his opinion about who can become a more efficient PM of the country, Murthy had said, "Our question will have to be, who can lead the country to make it a better place. I think both Rahul Gandhi and Modi will do a decent job." However, Modi also had criticized UPA government led by Manmohan Singh. Slamming the Central government's dilemma over "No second position", Murthy had asserted, "You know, I mean, I understand that he (Singh) leads a coalition. I understand that we have two leaders in the whole set-up. There is a leader of the party (Sonia), there is a leader of the government." Murthy also added, "So, all these things do slow down the decision-making; but I think that's precisely why the reason that the prime minister must, in fact, take acute note of that and perhaps accelerate decisions."[/background]
