Food For Thought! What Inspires Me? What Drives My Choices?

I am a normal person with dreams to make it “BIG” in my work area. I want my career to skyrocket, my bosses to like me and praise me for my work! I want to travel, see the world and enjoy my work.
All my decisions till date has been owing to the “make it BIG in career” motto. I hadn’t regretted any of my decisions till I landed in a job after my bachelors. To be frank, I started with the enthusiasm of having a “fast career growth” but ended up being a normal person lost in the crowd. I worked for a BIG company, but I was like a spec in the sky for them.
I made up my mind to do my Masters. I was in Deans list. Job offers followed - big firms as well as smaller firms. I had to make the choice again… I took that leap of faith and joined a smaller firm. Never have I regretted that decision - this company gave me opportunity to bring out my creativity ,rise in my career, and also handled the not so nice part – “not good bosses”
I was a Consultant. I had opportunity to learn the technology that were trending in the market, implement them , gain my expertise and keep learning more. It was like a loop and I loved it - Challenges, new bosses, new location, new team.
Today, after 3 years of working here in this one of the smaller firms that I chose after my Masters , I take pride in being the advocate of this Organization I work with.
