Recently a single co-worker in my team approached me and we had a rather awkward conversation at the end of which I got a distinct impression that she is interested in me though she didn't say it in so many words. I was attracted to her, this guilt-tripped me and I started avoiding her completely. I believe she knows my marital status & we still "notice" each other though I reckon for different reasons. [/size][/font][/color]

I would like to have a proper professional relationship with this girl but due to social anxiety I am too afraid to say/do anything to achieve this. So my plan is to well, bury my head & avoid her. [color=#333333][font=Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif][size=3]A friend of mine advised me to try a different tack, he warned me that my baseline assumptions could be wrong & that the way to go is to ask her out for coffee and then validate if she indeed has feelings for me and if so subtly tell her whatever I have in mind. I have not discussed this with my wife and I don't intend to for obvious reasons.[/size][/font][/color]

[color=#333333][font=Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif][size=3]I wish this lady well & I don't know how to provide closure to myself or her when words are left unspoken.My question is about the behavioral aspect of this & not about having affairs or flirting etc. How do I go about this? What should I say/do? Or if it's even a good idea to say anything at all....[/size][/font][/color]
