[*]Will have to change your State ID or Driver License and car plates, there is a process to this so please consult with a TEK team member or co-worker on how to get this done (you will have to re-take the written test).

[*]Commute: There are only main highways to get to most locations, public transportation is great, parking fees in Honolulu are very steep.
[*]Driving lanes and parking spots are narrow, larger SUVs do not fit very well and won’t be able to make it into the parking garages in downtown Honolulu.
[*]Culture is different: predominantly Asian, very friendly but does take time to earn their trust. Business is usually done by consensus. They prefer you learn the lay of the land before you give your opinion.
[*]Life is simpler (best put: there is no concept of “keeping up with the Jones’)
[*]This is the closest to a foreign country you can get that is still part of the US
[*]Do you like outdoor activities (hiking, surfing, paddle boarding, wind surfing, sun bathing, beach time, kayaking, golfing, whale watching)?

[*]Understand that although it is Hawaii, you will be in an office environment from 8am-5pm so be prepared to live in Paradise but be working hard during the work week.
