Naidu welcomes Lokesh into politics!

It is now official. Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has welcomed his son Lokesh Naidu into active politics of the party.

The TDP president disclosed it at a press conference on Saturday, replying to a media query.

“If Lokesh is entering politics, I wholeheartedly welcome him into the party. I have always been calling upon the youth to enter politics; so, it is a welcome sign,” Naidu said.

In fact, Naidu has been encouraging his party units in various districts to adopt resolutions requesting Lokesh to enter politics. On Saturday, too, the TDP mini-mahandu held in Vijaywada under the auspices of local MLA Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao adopted a resolution asking Lokesh to enter active politics and take the party reins.

And Lokesh, too, announced that he had resigned from the Heritage Food Ltd vice-president post, to take active role in politics. In all probability, he is likely to be anointed as the Telugu Yuvatha president during the Mahanadu to be held on January 27 and 28.
