Riots nee athadu control cheyaledu. As a CM that is morally his failure. Ee vishayam athadiki telusu, manaku telusu. I agree that vaade gaani dammu vunna magadu aithey, tana tappu oopukovali. But he is not. Tana tappu public ga oppukoni apology adagadaniki chaala guts kaavali.

But lets take a quick glance at our politicians. So many bad bad things have happened under various leaders. In 1984, during congress rule, anti-sikh riots took place in Delhi. Those riots were just as worst as gujarat riots. But to this date, no congress leader has come forward said . In fact, Rajiv gandhi justified the riots saying, "When big tree falls, ground shakes".

In assam when riots took place between Bodo and muslims, govt totally failed to protect the Bodos and other citizens from north east. Just to protect their muslim vote bank. So far no one ever said .

ila choosthu pothey there will be hundreds of stories through out the country. Gujarat story is very very unique. The state is highly polarized. There is a strong Hindu sentiment among the Gujarati citizens. If any politician ever speaks against hindus or RSS or if he speaks in favor of Muslims, he usually gets no chance to become popular or have any future in the politics. Even the congress leaders generally don't speak so loudly against Hindus. During the last state elections, congress which usually gives over 20 seats for muslims, gave just about 4 seats. Even they know that its time to appease the hindus. Modi is victim of similar vote bank politics. He cannot condemn the riots nor can he justify his failure. If he had to remain in power, he had to be what he his.

Lets not keep judging a man for a mistake he did 10 years ago. He is a visionary and able administrator. Such people are very rare in indian politics.

Yes, manage cheyali. Athadu manage chesadu kooda. As situation lo he was totally cornered. Getting up was only option left for him. Agreed there can be a better response. At different times he did answer about the riots. During the India today conclave and few years during some interview he did put his stand about the riots. He even once said he can be hanged if he is found guilty.
